New Haven, Conn./WTIC Radio - Police in New Haven have released the name of the person who was struck and killed early Saturday morning in a pedestrian versus motor vehicle crash.
Investigators say the victim is 50-year-old Edward Fernandez of New Haven.
Officers say they got the call to an area of Dixwell Avenue around 3:43 Saturday morning.
They found Hernandez lying in the road.
They say he was traveling in a wheelchair south on Dixwell Avenue from Charles Street in the southbound lane at the time of the crash.
The driver did remain on scene.
No charges have been filed.
The New Haven Police Accident Reconstruction Ream is leading the investigation.
