Bolton, Conn./WTIC - State police are investigating an officer involved shooting in the town of Bolton.
Investigators say a trooper discharged a firearm Friday afternoon in a home on Meadow Road.
Officers responded to a citizen assist at the location a little after 2:00 p.m.
After arriving on scene, they made contact with a person in the home.
An individual was shot by a trooper with their duty weapon.
That person was taken to an area hospital.
There's no word on the extent of the injuries.
One trooper was transported for evaluation.
The case is being investigated by the state Office of Inspector General, the Rockville State's Attorney, and the state police.
