Hartford, Conn./WTIC Radio - Video of an officer involved shooting in Hartford last Saturday has been released by the state Office of Inspector General.

Last Saturday, police went to investigate a disturbance on Maple Avenue that wound up with the suspect, 48-year-old Alexander Garay, crashing a vehicle at Broad and West Preston Streets.

The video appears to show Garay refusing repeated commands to show his hands and drop a weapon before an officer fires two shots.

Garay remains in critical but stable condition at an area hospital.

He faces vehicle, firearms and narcotics possession charges.

A weapon was later removed from the suspect, police say.
