
Wolcott, Conn./WTIC Radio - One person was killed, and four others injured in a late Saturday evening crash in Wolcott.
According to Police Chief Edward Stephens, they received reports of a vehicle leaving the roadway that struck a tree and wound up down an embankment on Spindle Hill Road around 10:00 p.m.
The vehicle caught fire, say police.
Two people were outside the vehicle when first responders arrived.
One person was pulled from a rear window by a police officer.
The driver, who was killed, and a front seat passenger had to be extricated.
The five victims are between the ages of 16 and 18.
The investigation is ongoing.
