Vernon, Conn./WTIC Radio - A pedestrian is in the hospital after being struck while attempting to cross the street Saturday in Vernon.
Police say around 4:45 yesterday afternoon, the pedestrian was attempting to cross Hyde Avenue at South Grove Street.
The adult male sustained a leg injury and was rushed to Hartford Hospoital where he is in critical but stable condition.
The driver of the BMW that struck the pedestrian was not injured, remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
Anyone who witnessed the accident or who may have information is urged to contact Vernon police.
