West Hartford, Conn./WTIC Radio - Something you don't see everyday in West Hartford--or anywhere in Connecticut for that matter: an iguana.
The find was made in the area of Westmoreland Drive by a resident, according to a Facebook post Wednesday from the town's animal control office.
The reptiles aren't native to the Northeast and aren't exactly fans of the cold weather.
Police were able to safely remove the animal from the area.
West Hartford Animal Control is asking the owner or anyone with information to give them a call at 860-570-8818.
