East Hartford, Conn./WTIC Radio - Police body cam footage of a foot pursuit that investigators say ended with a suspect having shot himself in the leg has been released by East Hartford police.
It starts with a 17-year-old who was part of a group that failed to pay a diner bill around 5:00 Sunday morning.
As police attempt to pat the teen down, he flees down Main Street.
An officer can be heard saying the teen shot himself in the leg.
He was later taken to an area hospital where he died.
That investigation is ongoing.
