Manchester, Conn./WTIC Radio - Manchester police say they've arrested a 16-year-old boy after he was found in the Manchester High School parking lot carrying a loaded handgun.

Officers say the arrest stems from an investigation into an incident Friday night of a serious assault.
The suspect was approached this afternoon by school resource officers and detectives.
They say he resisted and after he was secured, the gun discovery was made.
Police say the Glock 26 9mm was stolen out of Georgia last June.
The juvenile has been charged in the Friday assault, as well as for carrying a pistol without a permit, possession of a weapon on school grounds, reckless endangerment and other offenses.
