Wethersfield, Conn./WTIC Radio - The state Department of Labor is reporting employers added another 6,500 jobs to the rolls last month.

That puts the unemployment rate for July at 3.7%, a drop of 0.3% from the previous month.
In addition, the June jobs growth was revised upward by 1,000 to 3,000.
State Labor Commissioner Dante Bartolomeo said "Connecticut's unemployment rate is now at historic lows."
Labor officials say the manufacturing and construction sectors saw increases with 700 and 1,500 jobs, respectively.
CTDOL research director Patrick Flaherty said it's a good sign for the state's economy and a "strong overall report."
A warm winter saw the construction sector recover 112-percent of the jobs lost in the pandemic.
And the department says the private sector has recovered 88.3% of the jobs lost in the pandemic.
