Groton, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - A suspicious package at the Groton Shopping Center brought out police and the bomb squad on Saturday.
The call came in around 12:30 p.m. to Long Hill Road.
Officers secured the location after determining the package was of a suspicious nature.
Police escorted customers away from the area while store managers sheltered in place.
The item was removed and taken to police headquarters for further examination.
No injuries were reported.
Groton police want to hear from anyone who may have information or may have witnessed anything out of the ordinary leading up to the incident.
