
(HARTFORD, CONN. WTIC)-Hartford police are investigating three shootings and a fatal motor vehicle versus electric scooter accident.
The first shooting occurred Saturday night May Street. At 11, police responded to a shot spotter notification. They found a victim in his twenties, suffering from a single gunshot wound. He was hospitalized for treatment.
Around midnight police answered an incident where a vehicle struck an electric scooter on Maple Avenue. Police say a citizen flagged down patrol officers. The male, 39-year old Josue Colon was unresponsive and pronounced dead by ambulance personnel. After striking the scooter operator, the suspect fled. The unoccupied vehicle was later discovered on Wethersfield Avenue. Police could not identify or locate the operator.
This morning at 2:29 shot spotter activation brought police to the area of 1200 Albany Avenue. An area hospital notified police that a gunshot victim arrived for treatment. The victim is a female in her thirties. Her injury is considered non life-threatening.
About two hours later police investigated a shooting in the area of 85 Sigourney Street. Police say a vehicle received gunfire damage. A male in his twenties was transported to the hospital, listed in critical condition.
