West Hartford, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Two people face robbery and larceny charges for a carjacking incident in West Hartford early Tuesday morning.
The victim arranged to sell his vehicle to a potential buyer around 12:30 in the parking lot of 108 Oakwood Avenue, police said.
He went to assist a distressed motorist at the same time, when a man displayed a handgun and stole the man's vehicle, police said.
West Hartford Police believe the distressed motorist served as a distraction.
The stolen vehicle was later recovered in Manchester and the owner wasn't injured.
Both Gregory Ortiz, 29 of New Britain and Ashley Antonetti, 28, of East Hartford, appeared in Hartford Superior Court this morning.
