USPS job fair Saturday in Hartford

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - There's a job fair Saturday in Hartford sponsored by the U.S. Postal Service.

They're looking for 40-thousand seasonal workers in the run up to the holiday season--every position from carrier to clerk to mail handler.

the new hires are even more important this year with supply chain issues threatening to slow deliveries, Spokeswoman Amy Gibbs said.

That's why, she said, if you can, send your packages early.

Even though hard deadline dates don't come until December, Gibbs advises getting an early jump to make sure packages arrive in time for the holidays.

The job fair is being held at the Weston Street post office in Hartford from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
