Hartford, Conn./WTIC Radio - Later this week, there'll be a vigil for a Hartford police officer who died in the line of duty nearly a year ago.
The Hartford Police Department will hold the candlelight vigil Friday evening for Detective Bobby Garten.
It was September 6th last year that Detective Garten died after the police cruiser he was in with his partner was struck by the driver of a vehicle fleeing a traffic stop.
Officer Brian Kearney was injured in the crash.
The vigil takes place at 7:00 p.m. at the Hartford public safety complex on High Street.
