Waterbury man charged with stealing guns

(Newington, Conn. (WTIC Radio)-A Waterbury man faces charges for crashing a vehicle into Hoffman's Guns on the Berlin Turnpike and stealing five handguns before fleeing on foot, police said.

Police identified the suspect as 27-year old Troy Harris. According to Police, on September 7th he drove his Nissan Rouge through the front doors of the gun store, stealing the guns and  fleeing.

Harris is due in New Britain Superior Court today. His bond is $500,000.00.

Harris faces the following charges: Five counts of stealing a Firearm, Criminal Possession of a Firearm, third Degree Larceny, two counts of Criminal Mischief in the first Degree and Burglary in the 3rd Degree.
