Waterbury, Conn./WTIC Radio - Waterbury police continue to investigate after they say the driver of a vehicle involved in a crash Tuesday night was also found shot.
According to investigators, the call came in just before 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
That's when police say they responded to the parking lot of Bertie's Restaurant on North Main Street.
Officers say the vehicle drove through the parking lot and into the backyard of a nearby residence where it hit several objects before coming to a stop.
The 38-year-old male in the car had a gunshot wound to the back of the head, said police.
He's now in St. Mary's Hospital in critical condition with life threatening injuries.
