Maroon 5 just released their seventh studio album JORDI. Named in dedication to Jordan Feldstein, Adam Levine’s childhood friend and the band’s manager who died in 2017 from a heart attack.

The LP includes “Beautiful Mistakes,” the band’s joint track with Megan Thee Stallion, as well as features from H.E.R., YG, and the late Juice WRLD and Nipsey Hussle. But perhaps the most surprising collaboration actually makes the most sense - yeah we’re talking about Stevie Nicks.

The track is called “Remedy,” which Levine suggests an assorted list of throughout. Like taking pills, a little love, parents, memories, “giving no f***s,” and, of course, the majestic vocals of Stevie Nicks doesn’t hurt.

While the lyrics are filled a near limitless supply of clichés, from “love tearing us apart” to “living young and dying fast,” the spiky picked guitars - borrowed from the playbook of Fleetwood Mac, and boppy addition of Stevie’s distinctive voice make us feel the warmth of a shawl cocooning us while we listen.
