As the end of summer approaches, teachers are already planning for the upcoming school year, and for many that means picking up supplies.
According to Good Morning America, some retailers are stepping up and offering back-to-school discounts for teachers.

Here are some stores that have already announced their deals to help plan for the 2021-2022 school year.
TARGET
Target announced that educators would be able to receive a one-time 15% discount on select school supplies through July 31. To score the deal, shoppers must sign up for Target Circle. However, Target is asking that everyone must verify their teacher status to be able to participate.
The store chain confirmed that all K-12 teachers, homeschool teachers, teachers working at daycare centers and early childhood learning centers, university or college professors, and vocational/trade/technical school teachers are eligible.
STAPLES
Across the country, Staples is offering a sweet deal for teachers. School administrators and educators can receive 20% off select items through September 30.
If you want to help out a teacher, parents can use the Staples' Classroom Rewards program. This option gives a portion of their purchase made at a Staples store back to an enrolled teacher or school administrator of their choice.
MEIJER
According to Meijer, teachers can get 15% off back-to-school supplies with a coupon. The store confirmed that the deal covers 1,500 items.
MICHAELS
When confirming your profession and giving details for your Michaels accounts, teachers across the country always have the choice year-round to get a 15% discount. The discount will be available when they checkout online or visit a Michaels store. When checking out, teachers will have to confirm their email and phone number.
BARNES & NOBLE
The Barnes & Noble website states that teachers will receive 20% off of book purchases when they sign up to become a B&N Educator. To score this deal, you can sign up at any Barnes & Noble location.
DOLLAR GENERAL
From now until September 6, Dollar General will be giving teachers a 30% discount on school supplies. To sign up, you must have an account while also completing a teacher verification process. All of this takes up to 48 hours.
