Trump has transformed the Middle East and built better relations with Central America. We have also been able to checkmate Russia and create less power in Iran.
From a plain objective point, Carafano said it is hard not to give Trump a lot of credit for making foreign policy better.
Carafano said the competition with China is a global competition that will need to continue no matter who wins the presidency. Whoever takes office has to take on that task and keep the momentum.
“The bottom line is, now is exactly the wrong time to back off with dealing with China,” he said.
