Congressman Rodney Davis: 'It's going to take leadership from the White House'

(KFTK) – Illinois Congressman Rodney Davis joined Annie amid the Covid-19 self-distancing and Illinois presidential primary day.

Davis told Annie that the bills passed last week to address the outbreak and the economy are just the first-step. "The good news is we're lookng ahead, and I think you see  bipartsan support, and Republican support across the board" for future bills to help the economy and Americans. "I think you'll see a bi-partisan effort moving forward."

Davis was non-committal on the possibility of sending money directly to Americans,  "we've go to come up with a plan  that's going to work in the short term but also in the long term. I never thought we'd get to the point where Andrew Yang might have been a psychic."

Davis said his daughter voted in Bloomington, "I think you'll see the lowest turnout in Illinois Presidential primary history," says Davis.
