(KFTK) – Dr. Stephen Hahn joined Annie to discuss possible treatments for Covid-19 outbreak.
"Nowhere across the world has it been established that there is a specific treatment for Covid-19," says Hahn.
"The good news is that there are clinical trials ongoing in the country, and those clinical trials will very quickly give us the data needed to make a determination," if anecdotal treatments can be prescribed.
Dr. Hahn explained what the FDA needs to do during the pandemic, "we need to look at data, and science that is done in the right way to compare one treatment vs the other, or no treatment vs this treatment," says Hahn.
"The American people depend upon the FDA to make the right determination that something is safe and effective," says Hahn
