Orphe Divounguy from Illinois Policy discussed the state’s fallout from COVID-19. He explained how Illinois is losing more than $183 million per day.
“I don’t see the light at the end of the tunnel, especially with this kind of leadership,” Annie said.
“There are a lot of people suffering right now and it’s really sad,” Orphe second.
Unemployment is soaring all over the country, but in IL the real GDP has declined by 7.4%. In perspective, during the Great Depression, it fell to 5.5%.
“One of the things that we want to see is reform,” he said. “We want conditions.”
