(KFTK) – Dr. Lizbeth Didriksen is a pediatrician in Glen Carbon, Illinois. She said she hasn’t seen any cases in her practice of children contracting COVID-19.
Dr. Didriksen said creating a routine with your kids is very important at this time. Talking to them, playing with them, eating dinner with them, anything that can get them in some sort of rhythm.
A very important recommendation from the doctor was turning the news off. She said the parents should be aware of what is going on, but the kids at home do not need to be exposed to constant messages about COVID-19.
“Kids should go outside and play and get fresh air,” she said on getting some of the pent up energy out if kids and parents are self-quarantining.
She explained that if the case is nonessential, you should call the office before coming in because they are only taking critical cases.
