McConnell doesn’t have the votes to block witnesses because the GOP is actually the party of diversity. The usual suspects are going to vote against their fellow Republicans when it comes to calling witnesses. It’s an embarrassment that McConnell can’t find the votes to end the trial this Friday. Unfortunately, we're used to it.
The overarching problem is the Democrats are blatantly trying to change the way we run our government just nine months before a federal election. They have taken a tool implemented by our Founding Fathers and manipulated it to their advantage. They're trying to shift the foundation of our country to overturn an election.
