Senator Josh Hawley sent a LETTER to Attorney General Bill Barr requesting a federal civil rights investigation into St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner for targeting the McCloskey’s use of firearms to defend their property.
“This is an unacceptable abuse of power and threat to the Second Amendment,” writes Hawley.
Senator Jim Talent explains the basis for Senator Hawley’s call for an investigation.
“I can’t imagine what criminal prosecution [with which Gardner could charge the McCloskeys],” says Talent.
