(KFTK) – HR consultant Diane Frain joined Randy to discuss the evolving work situations that have come to be almost a norm during the Covid-19 pandemic.
"It's not completely new, we've had what they call, "distribute chains" and "telework" for a long time, but it was much more limited in terms of positions that were doing it and the companies that were doing it," says Frain. "Now it's more widespread."
Frain tells Randy that employers feared those changes, "but they are finding [that] a lot of people are more productive from home."
The work-from-home setup has positive results for employees, beyond the flexibity, "people feel empowered by the trust the companies put in them, allowing them to work from home."
She also points out that the setup allows companies to recruit employees from a larger geographic base.
