Others wondered if the company was 'trying to make up for something' as Starbucks has been hit with calls to boycott over unionization efforts and some workers attempts to tie the brand to taking a side in the Israel-Hamas War.
The company announced last week the completion of an independent, third-party report to evaluate the Company’s adherence to its commitment to the principles of freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining. It found that there are some actions Starbucks could take to improve its stated commitments.
Many baristas have pointed out there are things coffee drinkers can do to help, and those mostly include being patient about waiting in line, and staying pleasant with your hard-working barista.
