Mandalorian star fired after 'controversial' social media posts

Actress Gina Carano will no longer be part of The Mandalorian and the Star Wars galaxy.
"Gina Carano is not currently employed by Lucasfilm and there are no plans for her to be in the future," a Lucasfilm spokesperson said in a statement.
Carano, who plays Cara Dune in the hit series The Mandalorian was fired after Lucasfilm deemed her tweets "abhorrent" and "unacceptable."
Carano is known to be an outspoken conservative on her social media platforms and often writes right-leaning thoughts on Twitter, TikTok, and other social media sites. After firing the star, many conservatives are pointing out the hypocrisy of the decision, pointing fingers back at stars from the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Star Wars who have been outspoken about their Democratic views with no cancellation or end of their contracts.
