Missouri Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft joins the Marc Cox Morning Show to discuss ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance), a values-based framework established to measure the degree to which an organization is operating in a "sustainable" manner.
Ashcroft has submitted language to the Administrative Rules Division that would implement disclosure standards in regard to security investments and how advisors disclose strategies that promote values-based agendas.
"You have to disclose that to the investor and let the investor make his or her own decision."
