Heritage Foundation foreign policy expert Jim Carafano explains to the Annie Frey Show why U.S. citizens should pay close attention to the looming threat of a Russian-Ukrainian conflict.
There are reports that the Russian military is pulling back some troops but Carafano says “disinformation and distraction” are the foundational elements of Russian strategy.
“The Vladimir Putin we’re dealing with today is not the Vladimir Putin we were dealing with in 2014-2015.” Carafano explains that Putin has built a structure of governance in Russia based on his own corruption and, “His rule is predicated on his system being locked in place.”
Carafano explains (above) why the United States has to care about the dealings in Russia and their close ties to the Chinese government.
