A record breaking number of Missouri schools switched to 4-day weeks. This year, 141 school districts made the switch, according to Missouri State University researchers.
Administrators believe this flexibility will appeal to teachers, allowing schools to recruit the best teachers in the area.

“On paper, I’m sure the administration is saying, this is the best way because the kids are packing five days into four,” Ryan Wiggins shares on The Annie Frey Show. “But, based on the fact that we’ve seen two years of kids being out of class and what its caused, I can’t imagine that it’s actually a better education.”
“Unless they’re increasing the number of hours the students are at school, you can’t make up for lost hours," Brad Range said.
