Major League Baseball players and owners are scheduled to meet on Thursday for the first time since a lockout was announced in early December.
"My gosh, you know what? Let's celebrate!" says KMOX Sports Director Tom Ackerman. "Do you have any champagne?"
The video meeting between the two parties has sparked Ackerman into making some plans for Spring Training, which have essentially been put on hold since the two sides hadn't made any movement, "it got my brain working about baseball again! I think it's really important that baseball is on our brains, for baseball's sake!"
The last meeting between the players and owners was Dec 1. It lasted just 7 minutes.
