Missouri Governor Mike Parson will sign into law HB 271 that limits local government control over emergency health orders.
The legislation is a response by GOP lawmakers to COVID restrictions imposed by St. Louis County Executive Sam Page and others.
There is a 30-day limit on health orders issued by local officials under the new legislation.
