A very active rock and roll day and early evening for us...with two maybe three waves of rain and storms.
First wave will be late morning into the early afternoon...this batch has been pounding central Missouri this morning...big time hail maker...then a break with one maybe two more waves during the afternoon. The afternoon action will depend on how much the late morning action calms the atmosphere down...but since a low pressure is coming right over us...a recharge should be quick
What to expect in the way of severe weather:
*** Not everyone will see severe weather...but it is a rather widespread event
*** Severe storms will bring…large hail…golf ball sized and larger, damaging winds 70+ m.p.h. And large, long track tornadoes
*** The event will last about 5-6 hours across the forecast area…storms will come at us west to east
*** Bulk of the action exits by 9pm.
This is a dangerous weather system...so let's stay up to date...watch the sky and be ready for safety measures.
