Schmitz, 20, was among the 13 U.S. military members killed in the suicide bombing last month at the airport in Kabul, during the exit of American citizens and troops from Afghanistan. He's a graduate of Fort Zumwalt South High School in St. Charles County.

The procession is expected to take place between 12:45 p.m. and 1:15 p.m. If last week's honorable transport of Schmitz's body from the airport to the funeral home is any indication, there will be a massive turnout on highway overpasses and streets along the entire route.

It will leave Baue Funeral Home at 3950 West Clay Street in St. Charles, take eastbound Interstate 70, then exit on southbound Interstate 270, through onto Interstate 255 and then will take the Telegraph Road exit. It will head north and then turn right onto Sheridan Road and head towards Jefferson Barracks.

Last week, thousands lined the highway to pay respect to the native of St. Charles County. Many people brought American flags, and massive flags flew from the aerial ladders of fire trucks. The procession, which included about 1,000 motorcyclists from the Patriot Guard.
