A majority of St. Louis County Council members support a resolution that threatens to block collective bargaining agreements if the police department and police union don’t agree to greater public oversight.
The 4-3 vote Tuesday came one day after the Ethical Society of Police issued an ultimatum to Police Chief Mary Barton to take action to address racism in the department.
