Rockwood School Board candidate Bob Cadigan alleges that the St. Louis County Republican Central Committee gave a donation of $40K to an unnamed candidate to "fuel their campaign".
The Facebook post, Cadigan attributes to Denise Elam Cadigan, states, "There’s no union “agenda” here, friends. Those spouting this nonsense are the same people who say they don’t feel politics should be part of a candidacy, then put “vote conservative” on their signs or take $40K from the GOP to fuel their campaign."
The St. Louis County Republican Central Committee denies the claim.
"I'm here this morning to tell you that is a bold-faced lie," Rene Artman, Chair of the St. Louis County Republican Central Committee, tells Marc Cox. "All you have to do is go on the MEC [Missouri Ethics Commission] report and a donation like that would have to be reported within 24 to 46 hours."
