Former Missouri Senator and currently working with the Bi-Partisan Policy Center, Jim Talent joined Marc Cox this week with reaction to the news about St Louis Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner's office and cases being dropped.
Is there an easy way to deal with Gardner, as an elected official, could the state Attorney General step in?
"What you're going to find is that the prosecutors in other counties are going to fight that," says Talent, "and I understand that. They don't want the state coming in and taking over their prosecution, and that should not happen."
"We've got a big problem, and if its not addressed, it's going to be very, very difficult to do anything else you want to do in the city," says Talent.
"There are real people getting hurt by it," says Talent, "there are innocent lives at stake."
