SAINT LOUIS, MO (KMOX) - Shortly after 4 a.m. Tuesday morning, the National Weather Service was reporting that spotters around the region were already reporting 6 to 10 inches of rain from overnight storms.

The National Weather Service reporting the rain totals have set a record.

As the morning rush started, the St. Louis area was in the middle of a massive storm system stretching from NW Missouri to Louisville, Kentucky.
