The USO strengthens the well-being of the people serving in America's military and their families. Military life comes with unique challenges, including long separations from loved ones, demanding schedules, frequent relocations, and missed milestones. The USO helps reduce those pressures by keeping service members connected, supported, and mission-ready wherever duty takes them.
In Missouri, the USO serves military communities through our centers at Lambert-St. Louis International Airport and Fort Leonard Wood, while also supporting service members and families at Scott Air Force Base, Whiteman Air Force Base, and Guard and Reserve units throughout the region.
One of our largest annual programs is Holiday Block Leave. Each holiday season, thousands of service members from Fort Leonard Wood travel through St. Louis Lambert International Airport on their way home to spend the holidays with family and friends. The USO welcomes them with snacks, entertainment, travel support, and a comfortable place to gather before their journey home.
Please see the Holiday Block Leave wish list below for donation opportunities. Donations help us provide support and comfort to service members traveling home for the holidays. For donation drop-off information, please contact Yvette Summy, Center Operations Specialist.

The USO also relies on dedicated volunteers to support service members and military families throughout the year. CLICK HERE to learn more about volunteering or supporting the USO mission.
