PHOTOS: Volunteers lay wreaths at Jefferson Barracks to honor fallen vets

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - The event was more private and smaller than past years due to the coronavirus pandemic, but volunteers still showed up to lay wreaths on thousands of headstones at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis County.
Earlier this year, the national Wreaths Across America campaign announced they'd cancel this year's ceremonies due to the pandemic, but then found a way for the show to go on with public health safety measures in place.
The wreaths were laid at the south St. Louis County cemetery on Wednesday. And more than 2,100 additional locations across all 50 U.S. states will also participate this year.
