Jonathan Butcher, Education Fellow at The Heritage Foundation, joined The Mark Reardon Show to share his latest piece on the Biden Administration forcing schools to adopt radical gender policies.
Last week, the Biden Administration moved to expand Title IX regulations to protect LGBTQ+ students from discrimination based on sexual orientation, gender identity and sex characteristics by modifying language and boosting victim protections.
The proposed expansion would “replace the word ‘sex’ with ‘sexual orientation’ and ‘gender identity,’” Butcher said.

"They would make clear that preventing someone from participating in school programs and activities consistent with their gender identity would cause harm in violation of Title IX, except in some limited areas set out in the statute or regulations," according to the U.S. Department of Education’s proposed amendments.
Butcher and Reardon criticize authority figures, such as school counselors and teachers, that encourage gender questioning. One of the more “frightening” things, according to Butcher, being that teachers do not have to contact parents when a child comes to school and says they want to assume a different gender.
“By speeding children along a path to change their gender, I think that you are really taking advantage of a situation in which a child’s vulnerable to persuasion,” Butcher said.
