Charges have been filed against three people who are believed to have some connection to last week's shooting at the Mall of America. However, the shooter is not among the three.
The three who were charged, Denesh Raghubir, 21, Delyanie Kwen-Shawn Arnold, 23, and Selena Raghubir, 23, are all accused of helping the shooter evade police and arrest, Bloomington police confirmed at a press conference.
All three of the suspects, who are from the Twin Cities area, have been charged with aiding an offender to avoid arrest.
Police have shared that the altercation on Thursday took place inside the Nike store at the Mall of America. Surveillance footage showed a fight breaking out between six people near the store's checkout counters.
The two people involved in the fight, allegedly left the store before returning with a handgun, firing it three times at the males engaged in the fight. The shooter, identified as Shamar Lark, and another person, Rashad May, then fled the scene, making their way to the IKEA parking lot.
The charges allege that the two men called Arnold after the shooting, who contacted his girlfriend Selena Raghubir, an assistant manager at the Best Western, and her cousin, Denesh Raghubir, who allegedly picked them up in the Best Western shuttle from IKEA.

After Denesh Raghubir dropped the two men — who he told police were friends with his cousin — off at the hotel, he did not see the three of them for almost 45 minutes, the charges say. Selena Raghubir then allegedly called him and asked when the police had left, Denesh Raghubir reported.
Officers then searched the home of Arnold and Selena Raghubir, where they found the shirts the men had been wearing when the shooting occurred.
The three who have been charged are currently in custody and scheduled to make their court appearance on Tuesday.
Police have also shared that Lark and May are still on the run, and the investigation remains ongoing.
