It's been just over a year since a gunman murdered 19 people including children and teachers at Uvalde's Robb Elementary school in South Texas.

Police are now saying the killer's cousin has been arrested in San Antonio where the 17-year-old tried to violate the law by purchasing a rifle while telling his sister he planned "to do the same thing" his cousin had done.

The teenager's sister tells police she had given her brother a ride and while in her vehicle the suspect threatened to shoot her in the head and claimed he would "shoot the school." She says she believed his threat was credible due to the recent history of their family and the suspect's knowledge of their cousin's actions.

The suspect's name is currently being withheld because he is a juvenile.

The school in question may be in the Edgewood School District, west of San Antonio, because that district released a statement saying, "Edgewood ISD has been made aware a teenager is now in police custody accused of making a threat against a school on the city's west side. Edgewood ISD is committed to the safety and security of all students, faculty, and staff. Each campus has an assigned Safety Officer. We encourage everyone to report any suspicious activity; if you see something, say something."

The Edgewood district has two high schools, four middle schools and 15 elementary campuses.
