Co-founder and President of Good Counsel Homes, Chris Bell joins Mark Reardon to share his point of view after Senator Elizabeth Warren’s allegations against pregnancy crisis centers.
“It's so sad and beyond disrespectful of the people, thousands of people in Missouri by the way and throughout the country, who love to volunteer their time. Professional time and time from the heart and compassion to help any woman who is pregnant and in need. And we're talking about women who have been abandoned by their family, their friends,” said Bell.
Later he commented, “I run Good Counsel, which is a maternity home. We take in women, any time during the pregnancy, they could stay for a year or longer to go back to school, to find a job, to better their lives for them and their children. Because of the help of many volunteers and other nonprofit charities helping abandoned young women have their children, these mothers and children have better lives. They become productive members of society. They are not or they get off the welfare rolls. And this is what the government or at least the Senator and people supporting her want to do is to create an underclass.”
