Retired US Marine Corps Gunnery Sergeant Jessie Jane Duff joined Jeff Katz, in for Marc Cox, and remembered former US Senator Bob Dole following his death over the weekend.
Duff remembered that Bob Dole was the only former Republican nominee to attend the 2016 Republican National Convention which nominated Donald Trump to run for President.
"Bob Dole was the only one who showed-up," said Duff. "The oldest and the most heroic showed-up. That's a statement to his legacy that I forever recognize. I appreciate that when George Bush died he did stand and salute the man because of the honor of their World War 2 service."
Dole was 98 years-old and the 1996 Republican nominee for President.
