A Texas woman is celebrating after a professional diver recovered her diamond wedding ring - more than 100 years old - after it sank to the bottom of Possum Kingdom Lake.
JackO'Lynn Page says she was visiting the Sandy Beach area with her son's baseball team when she noticed the ring, which dates back to 1910, had slipped off her finger. Parents, players, and even grandparents helped search the shoreline, but came up empty.
Desperate to recover the irreplaceable heirloom, Page called in Ryan Prigmore from Blue Diver Search and Recovery. High winds made the water too choppy to search at first, forcing Prigmore to call off the initial dive.
He returned the next day under calmer conditions - and by that evening, he sent Page a photo of the recovered ring.
"I had been preparing myself for the last few days that it was lost, and I wouldn't see it again," she said. "My ring is so special to me, and I had no idea how I'd get over this. I'm over the moon knowing it’s coming home to me."
