If you’ve been on the internet at all over the past decade, you have probably seen Florida Man headlines and memes. It just seems like the wildest crimes come out of the Sunshine State.
Next month, a competition based on these headlines seeks to find the most Florida Man of them all.
Pete Melfi, creator of The Florida Man Games joined “Something Offbeat” to explain everything you need to know about the inaugural event – from throwing alligators to chugging beer and showing off mullets.
“You know, it gives people a chance to kind of live that Florida Man life for themselves without going to jail at the end, which is always a good thing,” he told host Mike Rogers.
