It's too bad that Chris Farley has left this mortal coil because there would be perhaps no better actor to star in a reenactment of what happened at a small-town playground when a 40-year-old man got stuck in a playground tube slide.

For the visual, note the Fire Department wrote this: "First units arrived on scene and found the patient wedged feet and head first down the slide and stuck in the middle portion."

An aerial ladder, a tower and respiration equipment were necessary for the save as it was an extremely hot day and that left the stuck man extremely uncomfortable, first responders noted.

As you can imagine, social media reacted with plenty of hilarity and a dose of empathy for the guy who was presumably playing with his kid when things went awry. He was wedged in a fetal position with his head and feet both facing the end of the slide.

"And Frank never said "hold my beer" again," Laurie Todd wrote, while Ashley Babcock added, "This is like the Simpsons episode when Homer got stuck in the water slide."

Firefighters did not identify the victim, but they did say he refused treatment and did not want to be transported to the emergency room. A few people on social media said he should be nominated for father of the year.
