DETROIT (WWJ) -- Ford Motor Co. is recalling 312,120 vehicles in the U.S., due to an issue with the power brakes.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said the recall involves certain 2025 Bronco, Expedition, F-150, Navigator and Ranger SUVs and trucks.
The feds say the power brake system — Electronic Brake Booster (EBB) module — may fail while driving, or using the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) feature.
"That could extend stopping distance and increase the risk of a crash," WWJ Auto Beat Reporter Jeff Gilbert said.
"There have been 37 warranty claims, one low-speed crash, but no injuries reported," he said.
Jeff Gilbert said the issue is software-related, according to the automaker, and will be fixed with a software update.
Owners of impacted vehicles will be notified.
